Don't Forget to Bring These 4K TV Accessories Home

It’s a busy time of year. There’s no arguing that fact, and the busier things get, the easier it is to let some details – even important ones – slide. It’s OK, though! It happens to all of us!

As your local go-to electronics store, we wanted to make sure that one thing didn’t get left off your checklist this year. If you are bringing a new 4K TV home for the holidays – and it’s really the perfect year to do that as prices keep dropping– there are a few other purchases you need to make to be sure you are getting the best out of your TV. Let’s take a look at some of the other necessities you’ll want to grab to go along with that new fancy TV.

4K Blu-ray Player

If you want to make the most of your 4K TV, you should make sure you are watching content in 4K. You won’t find 4K quality for every show or movie, but those regular Blu-rays you’ve been holding on to for years weren’t made for 4K screens.

Sure, they’ll work, and your 4K set will upscale them. But wouldn’t you rather be watching 4K Blu-Ray discs on a 4K Blu-ray player? Yeah, that’s what we thought. 4K Blu-ray discs won’t play on a regular Blu-ray player, so it’s time to upgrade your player.

TV Stand / TV Mount

Well, you can’t just place your brand-new TV on the floor! Nor should you! And even if you already had a TV mount or stand, you might want to make sure that it will be able to support your new TV, especially if you upgraded to something bigger.

Home Theater System

Everybody wants their movies and TV shows to look great, but sounding great is also quite important. Sadly, most built-in TV speakers just aren’t that good.

Instead, you are much, MUCH better off getting a home theater system. This will give you amazing sound to match the amazing picture of your new 4K TV. And if you are worried about trying to decide which sound system to get, don’t be! Stop in and our experts will be able to help you find a system that will work for any home-theater set up or TV.

Other odds and ends

While we always preach bigger is better when it comes to new TVs, that doesn’t mean that you should forget the little details. Depending on what type of TV you are upgrading from, you might already have some HDMI cords lying around. But, if you are coming from an older set, you may need to invest in some HDMI cables to make sure you are getting the best picture from devices that are connecting to your TV. You’ll also want to make sure to get a surge protector – don’t you dare plug that expensive TV directly into the wall!

If you’re still looking for help when it comes to your new TV, we’re always here for you! Give us a call or stop on by and we can walk you through everything you need to know about your new purchase. We’ll make you a TV expert in no time!
