Lights, camera, action!
Whether you are looking for ideas for your own holiday light display, or you just like watching fun YouTube videos, have we got quite a collection for you. Our elves have been hard at work, searching every corner of the internet to bring you some amazing holiday light shows. Turn your own lights down and the speakers up, and get ready to see what a can-do attitude and a lot of electricity can do to help celebrate the holiday season.
1. Can you do the can-can?
If you have ever wondered what a 17-foot guitar and 19-foot piano made out of lights would look like, then is this light show for you. Set to Straight No Chaser’s “Christmas Can Can,” this dancing and musical display is comprised of nearly 70,000 lights.
Just take a look at that. Phew.
2. Synchronize the Season
This one has racked up nearly 12 million views on YouTube, so you may have seen it already. But, that doesn’t mean that the spectacle isn’t worth a second watch.
Competing with this one could be a bit tricky. Of course, if you are looking for some additional TVs – or a new speaker system – to really buff out your light show, then you know where to shop … with us! Our experts will help you find the right electronics for whatever project you are working on, and we’ll be sure to help you beat the Dinklebergs’ next door and their lame light display!
3. The Dark Side of the Holidays
This San Antonio, TX light display takes a little inspiration – OK, maybe a lot of inspiration – from the darker side of the Force. It uses a Dubstep remix of Star Wars’ “Imperial March,” blasting it along with a light show that includes flashing Imperial logos and giant video projections.
Just take a look for yourself.
Yeah, the Force certainly is strong with this one.
4. Oh, Christmas Tree
New York certainly knows its snow, so it makes sense that it also knows a thing or two about its light displays. Travel with us to Glens Falls, New York, where you’ll find lights, a miniature village, and even some dancing dolls, all waiting to help spread some holiday cheer.
The video even includes some aerial shots of the whole house, so make sure to check it out!
5. Winter Wonderland
Sleighs. Nutcrackers. Lights. Strobes. Video projections of a dancing Santa. This Park Ridge, Illinois house has all of that -- and more! -- in a coordinated, colorful, and brightly-lit effort. It’s its own mini winter wonderland!
6. Jingling Bells
This Virginia home combined 22,000 lights, 192 channels, and a four-color light display – all decked out and synchronized to the classic “Jingle Bells.” Grab your sleigh, and get ready to dance along!
It really is a wonder anybody finds time during the holidays to put one of these together though, isn’t it? Well, it’s probably because they are efficient in other tasks, like shopping. And if you want to be an efficient shopper this year – and have your dollar really matter – remember to shop local with us for all your electronics needs. You’ll save time – and money – and our experts are always here to help you find what you are looking for!
We hope some of these brought a smile to your face! Have a happy and safe holidays!
