Breakfast in bed is frankly a bit overdone. No no, the eggs you made aren’t overdone, just the idea of it is overdone. This Mother’s Day, try something else to help spruce up the holiday a little bit. Sometime a little more creative. Something that shows you really care.
That’s not to say that you can’t treat Mom – or Mom-to-be – to a nice meal, but let’s up the ante a bit! Spend some time with her -- and there’s no better way than sitting down for a nice movie. We’ve thrown together a list of movies that all moms are sure to love, all in available in crystal-clear 4K – so hurry up and get those cards and flowers ready, because we’ve figured out the rest for you!
Mamma Mia! The Movie
The introductory “mamma mia!” joke pretty much writes itself here, but that’s no reason why you shouldn’t treat your mother to this musical romp. Starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, this one is a great pick for all the musical-loving moms out there, and for those who otherwise are just downright ABBA fans. And who amongst us aren’t, anyways?
Pitch Perfect
Speaking of musicals, “Pitch Perfect’s” ensemble cast features Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Rebel Wilson, and Alexis Knapp in a school-based battle royal for musical superiority. Who will reign supreme? And will their pitches be perfect? And where did we leave that taco supreme we ordered? You and you Mom will find these answers – or at least some of them – when you sit down and enjoy this film together.
Aquaman
Led by Jason Momoa -- from a small little TV show you may have heard of called “Game of Thrones” -- “Aquaman” is a successful dive into a pool of adventure, bringing DC’s underwater- dwelling denizen to the big screen.
You don’t need to go out to have the movie look good on a big screen, however. With all the detail and clarity of a 4K Blu-Ray, the journey to Atlantis – and Jason Momoa -- will never have looked better, and you won’t even have to leave your living room.
Coco
Nobody does family films like Pixar, and their 2017 love letter to Mexico and Mexican culture focuses on the family surrounding us all, those both near and departed. Get those tissues ready, because both you and your mom are probably going to need them for this one. But it will be worth it, we assure you.
The Greatest Showman
Magic. Music. And some muscles, courtesy of Hugh Jackman. What more could any Mother’s Day celebration really need?
Really want to turn the day into something special, though? Don’t make “The Greatest Showman” the end of the night. Stay over after the movie and catch up with your Mom – that will be the real treat you both remember. A treat even more memorable than Hugh Jackman. Probably.
Of course, if your mom doesn’t have the best available TV and disc player to watch 4K movies on, then haven’t you already failed her? Step it up big time this year and get the kids together to really get her something impressive – and you can do it without breaking the bank! Give us a call today, and we’ll walk you through all of our many home entertainment options that any mother will love.
